Well, Round of 16 starts, and with that so does my many streaks of bad luck. In 2006, this is where it all unraveled for me. One by one my teams went down. Looks as if that is what is going to happen this year as well, with the loss for the US and England. I guess I better start rooting for Germany right now, so they'll be out next round. Maybe I should look on the bright side: Ivory Coast and France are both out.
Here are the teams I wanted to win the Round of 16:
Uruguay vs. South Korea=I don't care
United States vs. Ghana=United States
Germany vs. England=England
Argentina vs. Mexico=Mexico
Netherlands vs. Slovakia=Netherlands
Brazil vs. Chile=I am going for Chile because they are the underdogs, Brazil will win though
Paraguay vs. Japan=Paraguay
Spain vs. Portugal=Spain, although if they lose Portugal is my second favorite team of the tournament, so I will keep my chin up if Spain lose.
I expect that I might get my way with Netherlands, and everything else is a toss-up.
